Frustrated with having to buy everything online and sight-unseen, the idea was born to start Whitehorse's only shop dedicated to health professionals and public safety professionals. We offer quality apparel, first aid supplies, footwear and education for both professional health workers and laypeople.
Tundra Medical Resources is dedicated to providing the highest level of wilderness and tactical medical knowledge, instruction, equipment and expertise to clientele in Northern Canada. Partnering with Wilderness Medical Associates Canada, Canadian Tactical Operations Medical Solutions and numerous medical equipment suppliers, we bring cutting edge education, medical support and supplies where they are needed.
With the mantra of "Adapt, Improvise and Overcome," Tundra Medical gives you the tools and expertise to provide remote medical care in austere places.
Meet Our Team
Steve Hahn, RN, CFRN, CEN, WEMS
Jen Darling, RN, BScN, WEMS
Owner, Lead Instructor
Steve has been working and playing in remote environments for over 3 decades. Beginning as a medic in the Canadian Armed Forces in 1988, he developed a passion for providing remote medical care in austere places. Steve furthered his education training as an emergency and critical care nurse, in order to pursue his dream of becoming a flight nurse with the Northern medevac teams.
With over 30 years of remote medical experience, he is excited to deliver relevant and meaningful medical solutions to people who live and work in austere places. Always learning, Steve is continually working to simplify and optimize concepts and gear in order to improve both patient care and student learning.
Operations Lead, Adjunct Instructor
Jen has been working in medical services for over 20 years. She began as a medic in the Canadian Armed Forces in 1995, and later transitioned to a civilian career as a Registered Nurse. Her career has seen a variety of locations, ranging from large U.S. trauma centres to remote First Nations health centres. The majority of Jen's work has been as an emergency room nurse and outpost nurse. Jen has been improvising and adapting her medical skills in remote and challenging locations for over a decade.
Jen spends her free time pursuing outdoor passions, and photographing pretty much anything that will hold still long enough.
